On July 15, the Well-known Chinese and Foreign Enterprises' Visit to Sichuan 2022 Investment Promotion Conference and Launch Event on Opportunities List for Investing in Sichuan was held in Chengdu.

Considering the changing COVID-19 pandemic prevention and control situation, this year's Well-known Chinese and Foreign Enterprises' Visit to Sichuan is held in the form of "event season", with the organization being flexible and incorporating small-scale activities held both online and offline at different times. The aim is to organize activities and sign major projects when the time is ripe. During the three-month event season, Sichuan will host several special activities and sign an array of major projects; after the event season ends, all cooperative achievements will be released and exhibited. 

Strictly implementing pandemic prevention and control measures, the event was greatly downscaled, but the guests are still of great importance. More than 200 attendees were from 110-odd centrally administered State-owned enterprises, Fortune Global 500 companies, Top 500 Chinese Enterprises, Top 500 Private Enterprises of China, famous multinational enterprises, industry-leading companies, specialized and sophisticated enterprises that produce new and unique products, and renowned business associations and chambers of commerce. 

To help investors better understand and invest in Sichuan, the event released the Opportunities List for Investing in Sichuan in the name of the province for the first time, which highlights 2,062 investment cooperation projects under major investment attraction projects. With the investment totaling 3.7 trillion yuan, they cover all sectors in the modern industrial system of the province. 

22 projects were signed at the cooperation agreement signing ceremony, with an average investment topping 5 billion yuan. Over 90% involve the manufacturing industry, covering such sectors as power batteries, new energy and new materials, precision manufacturing, biomedicine, and fine chemicals, of which more than 80% are modern industrial projects. 

11 presidents of chambers of commerce of other places in Sichuan co-issued the Proposal for "New Sichuan Businessmen" to Invest in Sichuan. The people present included leaders of renowned Chinese and foreign enterprises, business associations, chambers of commerce, the Special Commissioner's Office of the Ministry of Commerce in Chengdu, relevant provincial departments, and cities (prefectures). 

Li Yunze, a member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Executive Vice Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, attended and addressed the conference; Yang Xingping, Vice Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, introduced and released the Opportunities List for Investing in Sichuan.
