On October 28, the People's Government of Sichuan Province conducted working meetings in Beijing with the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT), the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs (MARA), and the National Health Commission (NHC), respectively. The meetings focused on thoroughly implementing the important instructions of General Secretary Xi Jinping, as well as the decisions and plans outlined by the Party Central Committee and the State Council, discussing ministry-province collaborative efforts, and jointly promoting high-quality development. Jin Zhuanglong, Minister of Industry and Information Technology; Han Jun, Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs; Lei Haichao, Minister of the National Health Commission; and Shi Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, attended.

On behalf of the provincial Party committee and the provincial government, Shi Xiaolin expressed gratitude to the MIIT, the MARA, and the NHC for their long-standing support and assistance in the economic and social development of Sichuan. Shi Xiaolin stated that since the 18th CPC National Congress, General Secretary Xi Jinping has inspected Sichuan multiple times, delivering a series of important instructions. In particular, during his inspection in Sichuan last July, he entrusted the province with the mission of building "two highlands, two bases, and one shield" and put forward the requirements for further progress in four aspects. We remain committed to General Secretary's instructions, act on the plans set by the Party Central Committee and the State Council, go all out to boost the economy and advance construction, develop new quality productive forces in line with local conditions, and steadfastly promote high-quality development. Currently, the province's economic performance demonstrates stability and steady progress, with the momentum behind economic growth consistently intensifying, the pace of developing the highland for opening up quickening, and the advantages of green development being deeply cultivated. Particularly, we are making continuous new progress in areas such as promoting the revitalization of the province through industry and strengthening it with enhanced manufacturing capabilities, establishing a higher-level "granary of heaven" in the new era, and building a province strong in health sectors. As entering the fourth quarter, we are diligently implementing the raft of incremental policy measures from the nation, striving to accomplish our targets and tasks for this year, and vigorously promoting economic growth in both quantity and quality. We hope that the MIIT, the MARA, and the NHC will continue to support Sichuan's development as always and provide guidance to Sichuan on scientific planning for next year's work and our efforts related to the 15th Five-Year Plan (2026-2030). Specifically, we look forward to enhanced support from the ministries and the commission in the following areas: advancing new industrialization and the construction of a strong manufacturing province, establishing national advanced manufacturing clusters, building a higher-level "granary of heaven" in the new era, consolidating and expanding the achievements of poverty alleviation, promoting all-around rural revitalization, enhancing the development of health services and the pharmaceutical industry, and the layout and construction of national medical centers and specialized national-level regional health centers, among others. Our collaborative efforts will help Sichuan achieve high-quality development and jointly contribute more to the nation's overall development agenda.

Jin Zhuanglong, Han Jun, and Lei Haichao affirmed the accomplishments Sichuan has achieved in the realms of economic and social development, as well as the advancements made in associated fields. They expressed that they will thoroughly implement the guiding principles from the third plenary session of the 20th CPC Central Committee and the spirit of the important instructions given by General Secretary Xi Jinping on Sichuan's work, fully execute the decisions and plans set by the Party Central Committee and the State Council, base their efforts on their respective functions, further strengthen communication, docking, and support, and help Sichuan address the difficulties in its development and the items requiring for their support. Together with Sichuan, they will work in harmony and with concerted efforts, seek to achieve tangible results in the ministry-province cooperation, actively advance the effective implementation of major national strategic plans in Sichuan, and support the province in continuously fostering and enhancing new dynamics and advantages for high-quality development. Through these actions, they aspire to exhibit a greater sense of responsibility and proactive engagement in contributing to the overall work of the Party and the country.

During the meetings, Shi Xiaolin, representing the People's Government of Sichuan Province, and Lei Haichao, representing the NHC, signed a cooperation agreement on jointly building Sichuan as a powerhouse in the health sector.

Xin Guobin, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology, and Gao Dongsheng, Chief Economist from the MIIT; Wu Hongyao, Vice Minister of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, Tao Huaiying, National Chief Veterinary Officer from the MARA, and Wang Lejun, Chief Livestock Officer from the MARA; Guo Yanhong, Vice Minister of NHC; Vice Governors Yang Xingping, Hu Yun, and Li Wenqing from Sichuan Province; as well as leading officials from relevant departments and bureaus of the ministries and commission, heads from relevant provincial departments, among others, attended the related talks.
