"Tianfu Premium" Spring Festival Consumption Month Launched

With New Year's Day and the Spring Festival approaching, the festive mood is escalating in both vibrant cities and idyllic rural regions, fueling a surge in consumer engagement. On the evening of December 26, the "Tianfu Premium" Spring Festival Consumption Month officially kicked off in Chengdu, themed "A Better Life within Reach". Organized by the provincial government, this event signals the beginning of a widespread consumer boom at the turn of the year. Shi Xiaolin, Deputy Secretary of the CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, attended the event.

The Central Economic Work Conference called on efforts to vigorously boost consumption, improve investment efficiency, and expand domestic demand on all fronts. Sichuan is a major province in terms of economic significance, population size, and consumer activity. To implement the decisions and plans of the Party Central Committee, the State Council, and the provincial Party committee, Sichuan has made this concrete move to host the "Tianfu Premium" Spring Festival Consumption Month event. The initiative is designed to capitalize on the peak year-end and New Year shopping seasons, focus on the five themes of "fashion, intelligence, health, green, and digital", and serve up a "feast" of high-quality products and services rich in Sichuan characteristics, bring new experiences of a better life to consumers, continuously build an opening-up platform for "global buying and selling", and thereby advance Sichuan's development into an international consumer destination.

The event will run until February 13, 2025. With a focus on "products + services", it will feature 391 "Tianfu Premium" brands and 1,107 products, spanning a range of categories, including Sichuan liquor, home appliances, new energy vehicles, catering, and more. With a focus on "consumption + livelihood", the event will intensify and expand consumer goods trade-in programs, covering categories such as automobiles, home appliances, and 3C digital products, launch over 500 promotional activities spanning thousands of enterprises and stores, distribute a new round of "Relax in Sichuan" consumption vouchers, and promote discounts on more than 1000 premium products. With a focus on "activation + motivation", the event plans to drive 152 business districts, 641 pedestrian streets, over 18,000 enterprises, and more than 156,000 stores to participate, establish over 100 "Tianfu Premium" pop-up stores in 80 "Relax in Sichuan" new consumption scenarios, and host an import-themed New Year goods carnival through government-enterprise collaborative initiatives. Furthermore, Chengdu, Yibin, and other regions will also organize distinctive premium shopping events. With a focus on "online + offline", the event will collaborate with leading companies like JD.com and Suning.com to offer a new consumer pathway with offline experiences and online purchases, invite influential bloggers for in-store visits, live streaming, and exhibition tours, and provide tailor-made recommendations for new year celebrations and experiences. With a focus on "consumption + industry", it will organize themed activities such as the "Winter Tour of Sichuan Consumption Season" and "Enjoying Snow-Capped Shu Mountains and the Sunny Warmth of Panxi", introducing winter travel packages. With a focus on "consumption + industry", the event seeks to explore new models of integrated trade-industrial development and vigorously promote the global outreach of characteristic Sichuan products such as Sichuan liquor, tea, and silk.

At around 19:00, Governor Shi Xiaolin, Vice Governor Zuo Yongxiang, and Deputy Director Yang Hua of the Department of Consumption Promotion of the Ministry of Commerce, along with representatives from traditional establishments such as Chengdu Heming Tea House, Sichuan Chuanmeizi Housekeeping Flagship Store, and Ganshiji Chengdu Feichang Fen, as well as foreign consumer representatives, jointly pushed the lever to officially launch the Spring Festival Consumption Month, inviting consumers from home and abroad to experience the consumption enthusiasm and diverse scenes of the Tianfu region.

During the launch event, "Better Life Promoters", including business representatives companies SKP Chengdu, Sichuan Changhong, Alipay, and SunSync, as well as Zhu Siyi, a roller skating world champion, presented lifestyle choices centering on the five key themes. Delegates from ten industrial and business associations and select corporate representatives released a series of consumer benefit packages for the public. The launch event also featured a video connection with cities like Mianyang and Liangshan to promote their local "Tianfu Premium" products and released the activity guide for the "2024 Sichuan Goods E-commerce Festival".

Relevant leading officials from the Ministry of Commerce, pertinent provincial departments, and cities (prefectures) of the province, among others, attended.
