Key strategies include strengthening innovation in rules and promoting the differentiated development of distinctive industries. Last year, the Sichuan FTZ prioritized industrial guidance as its foundational support, leveraging reform and innovation to empower the development of new industrial fields and emerging arenas. For instance, capitalizing on a series of measures, such as the pilot program for jurisdiction administration of online games, its digital industry has accelerated the steps in converting creativity into tangible benefits, seeing that more than 600 game companies, including Tencent and Perfect World, achieved annual revenues exceeding 80 billion yuan. "This year, we will intensify efforts to research differentiated policy empowerment for advantageous industries, including digital creativity, low-altitude economy, and international consumption, striving to foster industrial synergy," the official mentioned above said.

Significant breakthroughs in system integration are also anticipated. The Sichuan FTZ continues to advance institutional innovation and system integration, fostering Sichuan's distinctive innovation capabilities and competitive advantages. The official mentioned above outlined that in the next phase, the zone will launch pioneering initiatives and explore the evaluation of the "first-time" measures, aiming to generate a new wave of pilot experience. Additionally, the Chengdu-Chongqing cooperation mechanism will be implemented on a regular basis, enabling both regions to jointly seek greater national-level empowerment for reform and innovation within the pilot free trade zones of Sichuan and Chongqing and collaboratively explore a new batch of institutional innovation achievements.

Statistical data shows that since the Sichuan FTZ was established in 2017, it has cumulatively developed more than 800 institutional innovation achievements. Additionally, 300,000 new enterprises have been established in the zone, representing a 12-fold increase compared to the number of enterprises existing before its launch. Its foreign trade import and export volume has grown at an average annual rate of 14 percent, and the proportion of foreign direct investment in the province's total has risen from 4.3 percent at its inception to 25 percent.
