On March 27, Luzhou welcomed the opening of the 22nd China International Alcoholic Drinks Expo (CIADE), which is themed "Wine Here, We Here". Yang Xingping, Vice Governor of the People's Government of Sichuan Province, attended the opening ceremony and declared the event open. Maja Stefanovi?, the Serbian Ambassador to China, and Sergio Cabrera, the Colombian Ambassador to China, attended the opening ceremony and delivered speeches.
The 22nd CIADE invited Serbia as the guest country of honor. The expo features ten major exhibition areas: the Famous Baijiu Exhibition Area, Wine and Fruit Wine Exhibition Area, Lujiu Exhibition Area, Beer Carnival, Imported Wine and International Distilled Spirits Exhibition Area, National Heritage Huangjiu Exhibition Area, Brewing Seasoning Wine Exhibition Area, Regional Famous Baijiu Exhibition Area, Aged Famous Liquor Exhibition Area, and Alcoholic Equipment and Packaging Materials Exhibition Area. The expo occupied an exhibition area of over 80,000 square meters, attracted participation from more than 200 international alcohol brands, set up over 50 national pavilions, and specially established an International Fine Wines Pavilion and an International Comprehensive Pavilion.
The 22nd CIADE opened with a strong consumer focus, integrating the industrial and market ends, the industrial and supply chains, and the domestic and international aspects. Running through March 30, the event reflects five major features: industrialization, market orientation, socialization, internationalization and digitalization. During the expo, professional events will take place simultaneously, such as the China International Liquor Industry Development Conference, the 4th China Liquor Industry Intelligent Manufacturing Science and Technology Development Conference, and the 2nd China Liquor Industry Brand Design Conference, aiming to fully promote deeper exchanges and cooperation among various alcoholic beverage enterprises worldwide.
At the opening ceremony, the "Savoring Millennia of Brewing Heritage, Journey Through China's Alcoholic Landscapes", a tourism-alcohol consumption promotion program featuring mutual recognition, cross-industry discounts, and reciprocal benefits, was also launched. Additionally, the 2024 Annual Report on High-Quality Development of China's Liquor Industry and the Gulin (Production Area) Daqu Jiangxiang Baijiu Standard System Construction Plan were released.
