On May 25, the achievement exhibition of the 20th Western China International Fair (WCIF)—a highlight of the event—took place at the Tianfu International Convention Center in Chengdu. Hosted by the People's Government of Sichuan Province and organized by the Sichuan Provincial Bureau of Economic Cooperation and the Sichuan International Expo Group, the achievement exhibition carried the theme of "Co-hosting, Sharing, Win-Win: Serving the Century Project to Write a New Chapter". It highlighted the growth journey of the WCIF and demonstrated how the fair has leveraged its three core platform functions—investment promotion, trade cooperation, and diplomatic services—to drive remarkable achievements in the large-scale development of the western region.

The achievement exhibition is presented in a graphic-and-text format, structured into three sections: "Prologue", "Splendid Western Region · Myriad Vistas", and "Epilogue". It prominently features over 100 precious photographs and charts showcasing the 12 western provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities), as well as the WCIF. Among them, the section "Splendid Western Region · Myriad Vistas" is divided into six sub-sections: "New Ecological Charm", "Emerging Economic Dynamism", "A New Frontier of Opening Up", "New Marvels of Infrastructure," "New Achievements in Improving People's Livelihood", and "A New Chapter of Cooperation". This section demonstrates the accomplishments made in the western region since the implementation of the Western Development Strategy, covering ecological conservation, high-quality economic development, opening up, infrastructure construction, improvement of people's livelihood, and the achievements of the WCIF.

The western region, encompassing over 70 percent of China's area and nearly 30 percent of its population, plays a pivotal role in the overall picture of national reform, development and stability. In 2000, the Party Central Committee and the State Council launched the strategy for the large-scale development of the western region. In support of this strategy, a landmark project for the century, China inaugurated the first WCIF in May of that year and designated Chengdu as WCIF's permanent venue. With the strong support of the central authorities and relevant ministries and commissions, and through the joint efforts of the 12 western provinces (autonomous regions and municipalities) and the Xinjiang Production and Construction Corps, the WCIF has grown into the largest, most comprehensive, and most influential expo platform for opening up and cooperation in the western region. It has also become a new type of international public good that embraces global participation and promotes mutually beneficial development.

Statistics show that the first 19 editions of the WCIF have cumulatively attracted over 100 countries and regions to participate 1,210 times, with 68,000 enterprises and 580,000 attendees taking part in its exhibitions. The total exhibition area reached 2.46 million square meters, and over 13,000 investment cooperation projects were signed. These achievements demonstrate that the WCIF has continuously injected new momentum into the development and opening up of the western region.
